Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Kolkworks websites and products, including Reportfold. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh) acting as merchant of record. Polar collects your name, email address and payment details under its own privacy policy (polar.sh/legal/privacy). We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver the product and provide support. Products sold through a marketplace are covered by that marketplace's privacy policy for the purchase itself.
- Support. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.
- Website analytics. This site uses PostHog on its European host (eu.i.posthog.com, EU region) to count page views and clicks on the download and buy buttons. It is configured without cookies and without local storage, so nothing is stored on your device and the site needs no cookie banner. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the analytics script is not loaded at all. We do not use any other tracker, and we do not run advertising pixels.
- Product data. Reportfold runs on your own PC. It opens your Power BI report in the browser on that PC under your own licence, and writes the captures and the Word documents to a folder on that PC. Your reports, images and documents are not uploaded to us. The paid version makes one outbound call to validate your licence key with the checkout provider; it sends the key and no report data. The trial makes no such call.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, we do not send marketing email without your consent, and we do not collect more than the product needs.
Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)
We process the data above to perform our contract with you and for our legitimate interest in running and improving the products. You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Email us and we will sort it out.
Retention
Order data is kept as long as required for tax and accounting rules; support email is deleted when it is no longer needed.
