Real Power BI visuals in your own Word template, one document per customer

• Windows. There is no macOS version.
• A Power BI Pro licence and access to the report you want to use. Power BI Pro is 14.00 USD per user per month, billed annually, on Microsoft's price list.²
• The Azure CLI or the Power BI PowerShell module, both from Microsoft, to obtain the token. Reportfold uses Microsoft's own first-party clients: the Azure CLI application id 04b07795-8ddb-461a-bbee-02f9e1bf7b46,³ or the module, of which Microsoft writes: "For user accounts, an Azure Active Directory (AAD) First-Party application is leveraged for authentication".⁴ Reportfold registers no application of its own, so there is no consent screen and no admin consent.
• Microsoft Edge, which is already on Windows 11. Reportfold drives the browser that is already there and downloads no browser of its own.
• A hidden print page in your report. This is the one change you make to your report, and it is the biggest hurdle in this product.

• No Power BI Report Server. Reportfold works against the Power BI service at app.powerbi.com. Report Server is a separate product with its own web portal, and Microsoft itself describes it as "a basic reporting portal for on-premises reporting" for which "parity should not be expected".⁵ If your reports live only on Report Server, Reportfold is not for you.
• No Fabric or Premium capacity features. That is the point of the product, but it also means there is no server-side export: everything happens in the browser on your PC.
• No scheduling and no email delivery. You run it and you get a folder of documents. Sending them is your job.
• No PDF output in this version.
• No values or tables pulled from the model as text. Reportfold places the visuals you pick as images, in the template you wrote. The words around them are yours.
• One document per dimension value. No repeated sections inside a single document.
• Static images. Once the document is written, the pictures are pictures. As one competitor puts it in their own article about this problem: "As soon as you screenshot your data, it becomes static and no longer dynamic".⁶ That applies to every image-based route, including this one.
• No working around your tenant settings. Power BI has a tenant setting called "Copy and paste visuals": "Turn on this setting to allow users in the organization to copy visuals from a tile or report visual and paste them as static images into external applications".⁷ If your administrator has turned that off, Reportfold stops and says so.
• No signing in for you. You sign in yourself, in a visible browser window, with your own MFA. Reportfold never types a password or an MFA code.
• Conditional Access can block it. A policy that requires a compliant or Microsoft Entra hybrid joined device is a real blocker for a tool like this, because those checks need a device identity registered through Intune or hybrid join.⁸ If your organisation runs one, ask us for the note for IT administrators at support@kolkworks.com.
• Table visuals get cut off where their content falls outside the visible area. Microsoft documents the same limitation for its own copy feature.⁹
• The trial watermarks every capture. That is the only difference between the trial and the paid version.

The trial is the full tool: no time limit, no credit card, every feature. Every capture carries a watermark, and a licence key removes it. Nothing else changes, so you can establish whether the tool works in your tenant, with your report and your template, before you pay anything.

Checkout runs through Polar, which acts as merchant of record. That means Polar is the seller on your invoice, handles VAT for your country, and sends you the licence key. Cards and the usual methods are supported. You do not need an account with us.
